PRICES for TURNING. Most of the inscribed dishes shown were made from 2 inch (50 mm) thick sycamore. Such dishes cost £2 per inch (25 mm) of diameter for the turning alone, i.e. without any lettering. So a dish measuring 12” across (305mm) would cost £24. Please ring for prices of deeper bowls or different timber. The cost of the lettering is ADDITIONAL to this! See below.
PRICES for LETTERING. The larger the letters (and the more of them!) the greater the cost. It is simply a question of ‘mileage’. The larger the letters, the longer they take to cut.
Larger letters than these or other graphics (coats of arms, logos, etc) will be priced individually. In all cases a firm price will be given before accepting a commission.
If ordering an ASTROLOGICAL NATAL BOWL I need the DATE of birth and (as near as possible!) the TIME of the birth, if known, in GMT plus EITHER the NAME of the birthplace OR the LATITUDE and LONGITUDE. Please state which chart SYSTEM you prefer if other than Equal House e.g. Placidean, Quadrant or other.
HOROSCOPE BOWLS are £40 for the artwork on dishes up to 12” diameter, £50 for dishes 12” to 15” diameter. For dishes larger than that we can discuss! In all cases the cost of the dish, £2 per 1” diameter, is extra. Ebonizing is £20 per dish. So a 12” diameter ‘white’ dish with horoscope would cost £64, but ebonized would be £84. Whereas a 15” diameter ‘white’ dish with horoscope would cost £80, but ebonized would be £100.
CLAN BADGE dishes cost £2 per inch (25 mm) of diameter for the turning alone, i.e. without any lettering. The cost of the inscription is ADDITIONAL to this and depends on the complexity, number of letters in the motto etc. The average badge costs about £50. So the 15” example shown here would cost £30 for the turning plus another £50 for the inscription, = £80 plus p & p. All orders will be priced individually to avoid unnecessary shock to the system. I can turn up to 24” (610mm) diameter as a ‘regular’ item - but please check the size of your table!
